Terezín was a ghetto/ transit camp for  Jews during the WW2. It was their first station before deportations to the extermination camps in the east. 

It’s situated 1 hour from Prague. On the way there I will tell you a story about the most important mission “Anthropoid” – assasination of Reinhard Heydrich, architect of holocaust, that took place in Prague, 27th May 1942. 

When we get to Terezín, first I will explain you the function of Terezín during WW2, how the life of Jews was there since their arrival. Then we  will visit Museum Ghetto dedicated to the children. We will watch there a Propaganda movie filmed in Terezín in 1944.  I will tell you my favourite story of Fredy Hirsch, my personal hero, who made life of children “beautiful “ in Terezín and later in a family camp in Auschwitz II, Birkenau.

 I met survivors of Terezín and will be happy to share with you their stories. It makes the tour more personal and special. 

We will also visit a synagogue, Magdeburg museum of culture ( theatre, art, literature and music performed by the Jews in the ghetto. It’s amazing what people did in those terrible conditions. We will also see  a copy of a luxury apartment and a copy of a women dormitory,  crematorium, cemetery and a Gestapo police prison.

  In my opinion this tour should be done because this tragic part of our history must not be forgotten.
