Pilsener Urquell tour is an absolute must for all beer fans! In 1842 light “lager beer” was born  in Pilsen (Plzeň in Czech) and became known as “pilsner.” It did not only become famous as a brand, but also as a type of beer. Since its introduction to the beer world, pilsner has gained worldwide acclaim. During this tour you will not only visit the Pilsner Urquell Brewery to have the Uniqua opportunity to taste  “golden” Pilsner Urquell beer, but you will also explore the Old Town in Pilsen.

Your guide will pick you up at your hotel and will drive to Pilsen, 4th largest city in Czech Republic about 1hour drive west of Prague. On the way you will learn about the history of our country and Pilsen town liberated by the army led by General Patton in May, 1945.

During your walk in  Pilsen Old Town you will visit some of the greatest sights. There is a beautiful square dominated by Cathedral of St Bartolomej with  country’s highest church tower. Among other monuments we recommend visiting the Great Synagogue, second biggest synagogue in Europe, General Patton Memorial museum, or Beer museum. The walk lasts about 1,5 hours followed by delicious lunch in a local, traditional restaurant

After lunch you will visit the famous Pilsen Urquell brewery with a local guide. The tour lasts 1,5hours and includes beer degustation.

After the tour we will drive back to Prague and you guide will drop you off  at your hotel, or in the town centre approximately at 4.30pm.
